Putnam Public Schools Presents USDA Free Summer Meals Program
The Putnam Public Schools Food Service Department will once again be providing the USDA Free Summer Meals Program for Kids & Teens. The program runs Monday thru Friday and begins on June 12th and runs through August 11th, and includes breakfast and lunch. Locations include Putnam Housing Authority (Hampshire Heights), Putnam Public Library, Putnam Elementary School and Hale YMCA. In addition to free meals for kids and teens, IHSP will be sposoring free meals for adults with a participating child. Overnight Shelter Opens December 1st
An overnight shelter for those without housing opens on December 1st at 254 Broad Street in Danielson, CT (the red building behind St. Alban's Church). The location is open seven days a week from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. from December 1, 2022 to April 1, 2023. Squash Hunger from September 25th to October 23rd
IHSP-Putnam and IHSP Daily Bread present Squash Hunger, a Hunger Action Event, from September 25th to October 23rd. Food items can be donated at collection locations at various local businesses. See flyer for details and collection locatioins.

IHSP-NU2U Clothing Closet is Open
The IHSP-NU2U Clothing Closet is now open on Monday and Friday at the Living Faith United Methodist Church in Putnam. We offer lots of gently used clothing in all sizes for all ages. For more info and for hours of operation please click the button below.

COVID-19 Update
During these difficult times, IHSP is still here to serve our clients to ensure their needs are still being met. Due to COVID-19 we are now serving clients by appointment only. Regular clients will be called monthly or they may call in for an appointment if needed. New clients requiring services, must call (860) 928-0169 for an appointment. We wish all of our clients and the entire community safety and health and we look forward to the day we can get back to regular service.
