BECOME A VOLUNTEER

Consider finding your place among our dedicated staff and community of volunteers. Below we've listed just some of the ways you might serve, as well as descriptions of each, which we hope will help you choose the the right opportunity for you. Training will be provided. We do ask that you make a commitment for one day a month and can plan on staying with us for at least six months. We know that schedules change but do ask you to understand that our neighbors depend on us!

 

  • Food Pantry Receptionist: Basic phone and computer skills, interact with clients, simple filing. Requires maintenance of client confidentiality.

  • Food Pick Up for Food Pantry from Off-site Donors: Pick up food as needed, deliver and stock food items on location.

  • Client Escort: Assist clients with food selection. Requires maintenance of client confidentiality.

  • Coupon Embosser: Emboss coupons that are distributed to clients with an embossing/stamping tool.

  • Food Donation Counter: Sort, count and stock food donations.

  • NU2U Clothing Closet Attendant: Sort, fold, wash and dry clothing. Maintain neat, attractive Clothing Closet for clients. Requires maintenance of client confidentiality.
