IHSP - FUEL ASSISTANCE
IHSP has been providing emergency fuel assistance for more than 25 years. The fuel fund has and continues to assist many individuals and families in need of supplemental fuel during the year. This program supplements the State of CT LIHEAP program and Operation Fuel, providing assistance when other funds have been depleted.
On average, depending on the cost of fuel, we are able to assist 30-35 individuals/families each year. The program is funded by donations from businesses, private individuals, the Town of Putnam and area faith communities.
Requests for assistance are by appointment only and can be made by calling (860) 928-0169.
